Hi Werner: managing the MetaSearch default connections file is typically done via the MetaSearch itself (add/update/delete services). The actual file location varies based on the operating system (for example, on Mac, this file is located (for me) in /Applications/QGIS.app/Contents/Resources/python/plugins/MetaSearch/resources/connections-default.xml). If you open the Python console in QGIS and type "import MetaSearch", then "MetaSearch", this will show the location of MetaSearch on the system, at which point the file would be located in resources/connections-default.xml).
To make changes to the default file that is shipped in QGIS itself [1], please feel free to issue a PR and I can review. Thanks ..Tom [1] https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/python/plugins/MetaSearch/resources/connections-default.xml On Wed, Oct 30, 2024 at 1:17 PM Isenmann, Werner (RPF) via QGIS-User < qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org> wrote: > Hi, > > > > I’d like to edit the XML file for MetaSearch Catalog Client Services for > distribution to our users. > > Unfortunately I can’t find any information where this file is located.
