Hi, I installed QGIS specifically to view LIDAR data but, when I tried to open a .LAZ file, I got "LAS and LAZ files cannot be opened by this QGIS install."
Selecting 'More info' gives me: ==== LAS and LAZ files cannot be opened by this QGIS install. This QGIS build does not include the PDAL library dependency required for opening LAS or LAZ point clouds. ==== I installed on Debian from the instructions here: https://www.qgis.org/resources/installation-guide/#debian-ubuntu QGIS version: 3.38.0-Grenoble revision 37aa6188bc3 Do I need to build QGAL from source and enable PDAL manually? I _really_ hope not but, if it's the only way, I'll use the instructions here: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/INSTALL.md Is it possible to limit the interaction with the base OS (eg: install under home dir)? Any hints and tips appreciated! :-) Cheers, bitrat -- [email protected] _______________________________________________ QGIS-User mailing list [email protected] List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
