A few years ago I used Manifold GIS and I become a big, big fan of transfer rules. Transfer rules come into play when commands such as Dissolve transfer fields between objects" ( http://www.georeference.org/doc/transfer_rules.htm).
Does QGIS has any functionality similar to "transfer rules"? Regards António
