Agreed that would work, but it is just moving the synchronisation problem upstream so that it now sits between my local SQL server and the main one that every one works from.
I am thinking of trying to put together a Python program that will grab all of the SQL requirements, download the table and over write the existing version, but the only way I can see of doing it will require another setup file to go with the shape or spatiallite file to store the SQL request definition. Also I suck at Python.
