I am not sure if Facebook is our target audience. Isn't this more for the kids?
However, if someone volunteers to work on that - feel free to do it. On Twitter there is probably more news on QGIS - but I agree with Strk that the mailing lists should be our primary channels - properly archive - no restrictions - free for everyone without having to pay with your personal data.
