Dear QGIS community, is there a way to tell qgis to use UTF-8 as a standard encoding? I know that I can create a shapefile with a *.cpg file with contains the enconding information, but I want to use UTF-8 for all files that I load to qgis.
Can I enter this somewhere as a global setting? Kind regards Thomas
