Hi Rudy, Yes for opening as raster the file need a header like this - with number of cols and rows, x,y corner, and cellsize.
You could rename a csv to asc. But if you "only" has a csv with 3 col x,y, and z - you can take Layer>Add delimited text layer Then make an interpolation and get your rater.
