Ah, on the gdal/ogr website it says that "most" dwg formats are readable
- Now that you mention the teigha word, I've re-read the page:
http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_dwg.html
Thanks for the wake-up call.

Zoltan

Hi,
No - there is no chance. Not supported. DWG is a closed format without
documentation. Your only chance is to install the Teigha library and
recompile OGR to use Teigha to read DWG (http://www.opendesign.com/).

Hi,
I'm wanting to convert a DWG file to (almost) anything.
Neither QGIS nor ogrinfo will open it.
On Ubuntu 14.04 ogrinfo --version returns GDAL 1.10.1 2013/08/26
Will getting a newer version help, or what else can I try?
Thanks & regards,
Zoltan
