Several plugins can handle geotagged photos (eVis, Photo2Shape, Geotag and import Photos) but they all end up with just a shapefile where you eventually can click on an icon to see the photo.
I would like to see a thumbnail of the photo directly on my map. I have found traces of a recent plugin callled "Player Plugin" which seems to do exactly what I searching for, but it seems to be outdated - the download page is empty: <http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/file/n5008632/player_recording.png> From: http://code.google.com/p/qgismapper/wiki/PlayerPlugin <http://code.google.com/p/qgismapper/wiki/PlayerPlugin> I could probably convert all my jpegs to svgs in some graphics program and then use the path attribute from the shape file to show them as icons on the map (at least in the old symbology - is that gone in the new symbology?), but it seems to be quite troublesome :-( ----- Regards Morten Qgis 1.8.0 Stand alone installer in Win7 64 bit -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Showing-thumbnails-of-geotagged-photos-tp5008632.html Sent from the Quantum GIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
