The short answer is not UTM. The long answer is that it depends on how
big of and an area and how close to the poles it is. Next, do you want
to minimize distortion of distance, direction, shape or area.

Based on that you pick a good projection or make one by picking the
projection type and centering it over your place (ie Albers Conformal
Conic, Albers Equidistant, Spherical Mercator etc.)
