Dear QGIS developers and contributors,

As the QGIS treasurer I am currently in the renewal process or the annual
sustaining memberships. The nice thing: the sustaining members send me a
lot of positive feedback regarding your work on bug fixing, website,
translation, infrastructure, etc.

Also, the very high renewal rate of sustaining memberships speaks the
language that the QGIS users in organizations and companies like the
direction where the project is heading.

So I am now forwarding the positive feedback and thank you from our
sustaining members!

Greetings,
Andreas

PS: one observation is that sustaining memberships come primarily from
small companies and organizations, while the larger corporations or
government agencies (on a federal level) are not yet sustaining members. We
know that many of the larger organizations are also using QGIS. I know that
they have more complicated structures and decision mechanisms than the
smaller organizations. And one often needs personal contacts. If you, as a
QGIS developer or QGIS support company, have contracts and relationships
with larger companies or gov agencies and could help establish contact for
them to become sustaining members - please help to establish contact with
me as the treasurer - in order to generate more sustaining memberships for
larger organizations.

PPS: positive feedback is probably good to have in difficult political
times with lot's of negative headlines. Keep up the good work you do on
QGIS. Your work is really creating a difference towards the positive side!
