With there being over 1000 plugins, the Key Word search in the Plugin Manager is very good at shortlisting plugins of interest. I do like it, and having added 2 plugins I have seen it work very well. I personally see the sum total of QGIS with its Plugin Capability, PostGRES/PostGIS and GeoPackages as being able to support a Market Place much like what MapInfo, AutoCad and ESRI have. I.e. Not just Plugins but also data and services. I would probably go one step further and have a senior QGIS member on the board of this new entity. All up it is a lot of work, I have been trying to size it for a week or so now.
