Hi Paul, besides the mailinglist there is a irc channel and a gitter channel (with a bridge to the irc and vv): https://gitter.im/qgis/QGIS But indeed this should work, something like from .omf.base import UidModel maybe? Are you sure you have the python files unzipped there?
