Hi Magnus,
What you list below is a LOT of work and won't just "happen". You would
have to find a developer with profound PDF know-how to do the work.
Besides, some of your ideas even contradict with the values of the QGIS
project.
Why should the QGIS project encourage or include technology that:
- disables printing and
- disables content copy ?
I would be against having such technology in QGIS.
QGIS is about enabling content and technologies, not about disabling and
restricting the users rights.
Other stuff you list would be very useful to have. But as said, you
would have to get active to get it implemented. It won't just happen ...
Greetings,
Andreas

Hi
I would like to see a few options when exporting a layout to PDF:
- PDF version, such as archive PDF/A-1a
- Support for layers/geospatial PDF as discussed in
https://hub.qgis.org/issues/9362
- Resolution, compression
- Password protection
- Disable printing
- Enable/disable content copy
- Fit window, fit visible etc.
Any thoughts? Should I open a ticket for each one of the above or a general
ticket?
Regards,
Magnus
