Hi all.
As someone may have noticed, now forms (.ui) can be stored in DB. This is IMHO
a Good
Thing, because people using PG can have all the elements needed in the same
place,
instead of being scattered in several files.
However, forms can only be associated to a layer as a file (from the layer
properties
window), not as tables. Alternatively, it would be good to incorporate the .ui
xml
into the style, but in this way there is not an easy way to edit the form
(Designer
requires a file).
A simple, yet not very elegant, solution to this would be to add an option to
the
Load UI menu, to be able to load it (for PG layers) also from a table, perhaps
applying it as a default if present. Additionally, loading an UI file should
(automatically?) add it to the table.
Does anybody have a better suggestion, or see a problem in this approach?
All the best.
