Hi,

It turned out that our student could not commit. He has a 40% position and it seems that GSoc requires a full commitment.

This student is nevertheless still interested in working with QGIS and will continue to work on QGIS globe, but outside of GSoc.

Ciao Paolo, I for shure have 1-2 students that will submit proposals
for android qgis. I know that Andreas has tslked to a student for
improving svg and camilo withdrawed his proposal.
Hopefully all students are just being students and waiting for the
deadline to submit :)
 Ciao

Hi all.
The deadline is approaching: are there students applying? Should we
promote QGIS more actively? After several years of successes, it
would be bad to miss this opportunity.
All the best.
