Would you walk a beginner through running QEMU on a Raspberry Pi?

Hello,

I have a book scanner not covered by the SANE Project, and I want to run it on 
my Raspberry Pi. They can both use Debian, but obviously I'd still need the 
computer to translate x86 commands into ARMv8-A. I can get back to you with 
specifics if you need them.
