author of this blog post (a Gentoo developer) posted this and bumping
up MAX_ARG_PAGES worked for me.  Hopefully this helps someone else

the binutils unit test trying to pass a huge arg list is certainly
exceptional.

Hmm, would a gcc invocation to link a real world large
program (like, say, LibreOffice)cause gcc topass a
similarly huge command line to /usr/bin/ld from binutils?
If so, this might affect using qemu(not qemu-system) for
cross compiles.
