I tried the following : -> I recompiled the latest QEMU version with "--enable-gtk" : my guest is now launched in a window with a "menu" with "Machine" and "View" entries above but I still have the same black screen issue and I can't switch to QEMU monitor window anymore (ctrl-alt-2 does not work)... -> I also tried to redirect console in graphic window and not in stdio/ttyAMA0 and the last line I see (stucked on it around 10s perhaps) before window goes black is : "Console: switching to color frame buffer 80x30" Does it rings a bell to you ? -> I activated the vnc server using QEMU and I still have the same refreshing issue in the VNC client (vinagre). -> I performed a "init 0" in the QEMU graphical window and even if the text was not displayed (display not refreshed), guest turned off when I pressed "enter" Do you have some leads to debug this refreshing issue ?
