Ok, found some docs but they talk of C-a s to be use in the serial console or using commit in the monitor mode.

No of them works and in the monitor mode you have to specify a device. I am using a img file, not a logical disk partition. The option all does not work either.

Ctrl-a s is not working either in the graphical session.

Any more suggestions?

Frans.

http://wiki.qemu.org/download/qemu-doc.html says that this is "during
the graphical emulation" and "C-a s" is a common way of specifying
"Ctrl+a then s" - that is, hold down Ctrl and press (and release) a,
release Ctrl then press (and release) s.
