Yes. Had to do with the machine version. I switched to 1.3 from 1.0, and things
went fine. Maybe this is your issue, too:
usr/bin/kvm -M pc-1.3 ...
or in libvirt:
<type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-1.3'>hvm</type>

I switched from qemu-kvm-1.2.0 -> qemu-1.5.0 recently, and noticed my VM slows
down significantly. It became too slow so that booting time takes long to see a
prompt. Has anyone seen this before?
