Okay, so we're using memory_region_set_address() on an alias after marking it as enabled. memory_region_readd_subregion() detect if the region is already added via "mr->container" ... so in the old code, the memory_region_del_subregion() mr->container = container; memory_region_update_container_subregions(mr); I think the issue is that we want to do a "del+add" but we do a "del+hack", not a proper add.
