As you'll see below, the hardware intreface is somewhat ad-hoc :-)

is connected to another qdev.

Do you mean a qdev that is a bus and accepts up to 8 devices as children?

The plan would be:
- fold sysbus into qdev
- improve qdev/qbus memory region support
- reimplement PCI BARs atop qdev regions
