hm, fink is based on tarballs with fixed checksums. Usually, this means
release tarballs.

Maybe I was too brief: darwin-user is broken since at least 0.9.0 four years ago, so there's no reason to believe that it'll be fixed in this or some upcoming tarball just by filing a bug ticket.

If you do want to create patches to fix this, you'll need to use the git version and its master branch.

Compilation works very well without Fink btw, we currently have zero hard dependencies.
