This is not a QEMU bug.
You need to get a correct driver for the emulated hardware.
There is a Cirrus driver as well as a VESA driver in BeBits that will
work with absolutely all emulated hardware.

I can only get the display on BeOS/x86 Personal Edition 5 to be in black and
white. I've tried all the -vga options.
