Hi, Thanks for sharing your project idea! It's possible that no mentor will volunteer and the application deadline is Friday 25 March. Custom project ideas take time to discuss and it can be a challenge to find mentors for niche project ideas. You can still submit a proposal at https://g.co/gsoc if no mentor is available yet. That will put you into Google's system so that you can be selected if a mentor does appear within the next few days/weeks. Regardless of the outcome, I encourage you to submit your patches to QEMU. Start by rebasing your code onto qemu.git/master and submit patches as described in http://qemu-project.org/Contribute/SubmitAPatch. That way you can get feedback on the code and hopefully see it merged into QEMU! Stefan
