I appreciate the idea, but the trouble is that we could find ourselves just doing this continually, as illustrated by the fact that the current version of the ARM ARM is rev A.e, not A.c... I don't really have a good idea for how to handle this -- I like having the references, but they're a bit unstable :-( thanks -- PMM
