Are you using RHEL or CentOS?  If it is RHEL, then I suggest you ask Red
Hat for support.

This error is probably associated with libvirt, not qemu; where libvirt
may be setting permissions incorrectly (there have been bug fixes in the
past, and libvirt 1.0.5 does much better than libvirt 0.10.2).  As such,
this is probably not the best list to get help for your issue.
Furthermore, it would help if you show the entire backing chain of the
file that you are trying to snapshot (qemu-img info
/var/lib/libvirt/images/test.snapshot1).
