Public bug reported: I tried launch iso and raw images in qemu-kvm-1.4.0 with seabios-1.7.2 (and seabios-git) with this options:
qemu-system-x86_64 -M q35 -smp 8,cores=8 -vga qxl -cpu host -enable-kvm -m 4096 -localtime -cdrom "/home/user/media/iso/windows7x86_64.iso" -drive file=/home/user/media/vbox/windows7x86_64 -boot once=c,menu=on -net nic,vlan=0,model=e1000 -net user,vlan=0 -usb -device intel-hda -device hda-duplex -usbdevice tablet -device virtio-serial -name "Windows 7 x86_64" $* And received the "no bootable device" error. When I pressed F12 key on start, no any storage devices there. Seabios compiled with AHCI support. ** Affects: qemu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: q35 ** Attachment added: "qemu-q35.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171211/+attachment/3649968/+files/qemu-q35.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of qemu- devel-ml, which is subscribed to QEMU. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171211 Title: Qemu-kvm 1.4.0 q35 no bootable device Status in QEMU: New Bug description: I tried launch iso and raw images in qemu-kvm-1.4.0 with seabios-1.7.2 (and seabios-git) with this options: qemu-system-x86_64 -M q35 -smp 8,cores=8 -vga qxl -cpu host -enable- kvm -m 4096 -localtime -cdrom "/home/user/media/iso/windows7x86_64.iso" -drive file=/home/user/media/vbox/windows7x86_64 -boot once=c,menu=on -net nic,vlan=0,model=e1000 -net user,vlan=0 -usb -device intel-hda -device hda-duplex -usbdevice tablet -device virtio-serial -name "Windows 7 x86_64" $* And received the "no bootable device" error.
