There are two issues in there -- QOM (assertion failure) is unrelated. The main issue is that win BSODs when trying to use the USB device, but it worked fine in 1.0. I guess the only possible solution here is to try to bisect it. But it wont be easy due to other issues between 1.0 and 1.1. Overall, somehow I thought the two issues are related.
