(I think we talked about this in v2):
Looking at idstr creation code, idstr is always NULL terminated. It's also treated everywhere as a NULL terminated string. For consistency and to avoid confusion, I'd treat it as a NULL terminated string here too (use strcpy, remove the QEMU_NONSTRING from its definition, etc.).
This will also avoid strncpy() unnecessary zeroing of the extra bytes.
