Further to this, we had a chat and came to the conclusion that maybe the end of July ie 28th/29th might be a better weekend. This is completely the opposite end of the month from Europython, so there's no clash there. I've been trying to do the following: * Avoid august, since most people have a proper holiday then :) * Try to keep outside University term dates, in case there's much bigger interest and we need to find a bigger venue (lots of empty rooms) * Try to not clash with interesting conferences. Given what's going on in september, this seems to leave late July. That actually strikes me as pretty good though.
