I'm wondering where we got to with this. In terms of timing, the version of salt I'm looking to backport will enter testing in about 7 days. Hopefully we can upload this final dependency backport by then. Julian, did you start the process to get your key added to the ACL for backports? I'm happy to wait if required (I don't have much choice... :) ), but it would be good to know where things are heading.
