Package: python-xdg Version: 0.18-1 Severity: wishlist
According to docstring, xdg.DesktopEntry supports version 0.9.4 of the Desktop Entry Specificatio. However, the current version is 1.0 and this is the version, which is implemented by KDE and GNOME.
