I would rather recommend the testing-proposed-updates one, present in
various mirrors, like here:

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/matplotlib/python-matplotlib-data_0.98.1-1%2blenny3_all.deb
http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/matplotlib/python-matplotlib-doc_0.98.1-1%2blenny3_all.deb

(Change architecture):
http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/matplotlib/python-matplotlib_0.98.1-1%2blenny3_amd64.deb

HTH.
