It even makes perfect sense to talk about dynamic typing in a statically typed language - but keeping the terminology straight, this rather refers to something like described in the well-known paper of the same title (and its numerous follow-ups): Martin Abadi, Luca Cardelli, Benjamin Pierce, Gordon Plotkin Dynamic typing in a statically-typed language.
