For Linux there is a separate package psycopg2-binary on PyPI. That split happened a few years ago and I forgot why it was necessary. For the distributions I use (Debian and Ubuntu) both packages work (but for the source package I need to install the necessary development packages first). hp -- _ | Peter J.
