When you installed, did you ask for tcl/tk to be installed so tkinter and IDLE would work?
Does python run?
If so, does "import tkinter" run?

Do you mean IDLE?
If yes - please define "does not work". Are you trying to start it
from the Desktop? Start Menu?

In particular, try starting from CommandPrompt with
C:...> python -m idlelib

Does it give you any error? Which one?
Are you trying to execute some script with it?

Try starting first without a script (python program).

Please five us more info...

I also presume you are working under Windows 10.
