What about regarding the users as so stupid that they can't handle "go to python.org and install Python, then double-click this .py file"? Are they smart enough to handle a two-step installation process? Because that's what I suggested at the start, and you were the one who said they wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm judging your users based on your descriptions of them and nothing else. I'd much rather assume that they're intelligent and can accept the consequences of their choices.
