Hmm, I don't know about a *language* per se. There is a *distribution* called Anaconda, aimed at data science users. It has its own package manager and a ton of easily installable packages. Personally, I don't think Anaconda is particularly important to typical users, but perhaps it's easier to say "hey, I need to use Anaconda" than "hey, I need to use Python, and numpy, and pandas, and X, and Y, and Z...", so that might give it a significant edge in certain contexts.
