How about installing the same OS on the VM that you're running on the development machine? You can get powerful hourly VM's (x86) and dedicated servers (x86 and ARM) really cheap at Scaleway.com. I've used them for a while and they work well. -- https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
