Similar to other answers here, I do not know why your application stops serving, but I have had success using waitress (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/waitress) with bottle (http://bottlepy.org/docs/dev/deployment.html#switching-the-server-backend). -- https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
