So how much effort are you going to go to for, effectively, the same end result? You can type "or" with the same keystrokes, and it takes zero setup work and zero memorization (you may forget which keystroke you set up for ∨, but I doubt you'll forget how to spell "or", even if you think it means gold/yellow).
