I moved my news reader stuff like comp.lang.python over to my Thunderbird mail client yesterday; works well and is as functional as sea-monkey ever was. The client is nice and has none of the short-comings of gg. The server &Thunderbird complain about the line lengths when in excess of 79 characters (says it can't post) but posts anyway.
