Lazy, stupid, and vulnerable to a major privacy breach. I haven't personally experienced this, but my Mum has on occasion: a (lengthy) private conversation between two people in an organization, then they come to a conclusion that should go public, and cc someone outside the organization (my Mum, in this case) on the final email...... complete with the entire history.
