Chances are that Google Groups will cleverly hide the quoting from them anyway, which means that you're not demonstrating the problem to them, you're just spamming the group with double-spaced, excessively quoted, irrelevant text. Even if they see the quoted text, half a dozen lines is more than enough to demonstrate the problem to any reasonable person, they can extrapolate from that.
