What editor are you using? I suggest you replace it with one that knows python. I use Geany but may others operate the same way. when i press return after a line that starts a loop it automatically indents the next line the require amount. it retains the current indent level on subsequent lines until i press backspace to return to the previous level it really does not get any simpler than that. -- If you don't care where you are, then you ain't lost. -- https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
