Both code and documentation issues are handled on bugs.python.org

If you say more about what you want to do, we can give you better advice. Have you just found some minor errors? Do you want to rewrite existing text? Do you want to add new text? Do you know how to use Mercurial (hg) and how to make patches? Do you know or want to learn the RST markup language used for the docs?
