Avdi Grimm produced his book "Exceptional Ruby" (http://exceptionalruby.com ) this way, including ePub formats (I hope mentioning Ruby in this context is not a punishable offense...) Apparently, there is calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/ ) that will take you from HTML to ePub.
