Interesting. I got my subprocess.py from CVS. The CVS log revision 1.12 date: 2005/01/01 09:36:34; author: astrand; state: Exp; lines: +39 -1 New subprocess utility function: check_call. Closes #1071764. The bug tracker is http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1071764&group_id=5470&atid=305470 which says it's a 2.5ism. Oops! Sorry about that post from the future.
